March Forth Vermilion County - March 27
March Forth Vermilion County!  Last week saw our community in the national spotlight as the host of 15 college basketball teams from around the country.  According to local officials the economic impact from the tournament was in excess of 1 million dollars….The NJCAA will return for the 20th year in 2013.

Much has been said and written about the Vermilion Street Retail Project….By mid 2013 we will have Kohl’s, Meijer and TJ Maxx to add to our local shopping choices. The importance of keeping local retail dollars local can’t be overstated. These dollars impact services such as police, fire, road and street improvements just to name a few.  Remember when you take your dollars out of the county…the benefits to the local community go with you.

March Forth Vermilion County is a partnership with Vermilion Chevy, Buick and GMC, …Gaudio Distributing, Iroquois Federal, Financial and Insurance…and Bryant Industries in support of the Vermilion Advantage. This group of partners is your March Forth Vermilion County team.

March 15th Update
Vermilion County is Marching Forth!

Good news has been springing up all over in East Central Illinois…2012 has already seen the largest number of  retail development projects announced or under construction in Vermilion County in over 25-years.

Dirt is moving on the new Kohl’s site on Vermilion Street in Danville, while renovation is on going in the new Tilton County Market on Georgetown Road.  What does this mean to Vermilion County?  Jobs, ….retail sales tax… and opportunity…By the middle of 2013 many of the categories of business that area residents left to make purchases will be found right here at home….Keeping the local retail dollars in Vermilion County is very important, and critical to our long term growth as a community.

Don’t wait until 2013…continue to support our local businesses by shopping at home and keeping your local dollars… local.
