Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden has released the identity of a Danville shooting. She says the person found dead in a car early Thursday is 18-year-old Jeremiaha Deneal of Danville.
The coroner says an autopsy was being conducted and the investigation into the death continues.
Danville Public Safety Director Larry Thomason told VermilionCountyFirst.com News officers were called to the 1000 block of Glenwood at about 8:30 Thursday morning. When they arrived they found Deneal inside a vehicle. They also found evidence of a gunshot wound.
Deneal is Danville’s first homicide of 2018. Police are seeking information as they try to determine who is responsible for his death.
