The U.S. Supreme Court has – for a second time – rejected an appeal by former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. Today’s announcement means Blagojevich will continue to serve the rest of a 14 year prison sentence that he began six years ago.
The former governor was convicted on corruption charges after being arrested in December of 2008. Part of the charges stemmed from Blagojevich’s attempts to sell the U.S. Senate seat which was vacated when Barrack Obama was elected President.
