If you live around Lake Vermilion you are being reminded that the 16th Annual Lake Vermilion Clean-Up Day is Friday (May 25th, 2018).
Aqua Illinois, in partnership with the Lake Vermilion Water Quality Coalition, will be concentrating on debris in the lake and along the shoreline. Residents living on the lake who would like debris removed from the shoreline should have it bagged, boxed, or neatly piled and make sure they are plainly visible for removal.
The event will begin Friday at 8:00 a.m. at Lake Vermilion County Park (2607 Denmark Road, Danville). Volunteers who would like to help with the clean-up should arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. and wear appropriate clothing. Gloves will be provided, along with donuts, refreshments and lunch.
