The general public has a chance this week to take a look at some moon rocks that are on display at the Danville Public Library. It is just part of events this week at the Danville library which are all open to the general public. Here is the schedule of events:
June 11: The Wonder Garden Club teaches children about plants and how to care for them in our outside Wonder Garden. This program begins at 9:30 am in the downstairs meeting room then moves outside to the garden. Ages 5-11 (under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver).
June 11: See rocks from outer space! Moon rocks on loan from NASA will be viewable from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room. All ages welcome.
June 12: Wee Wigglers story times contain songs, stories, and serious silliness for the youngest book-lovers. Offered on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room, for children from birth up to 24 months, with a caregiver.
June 12: Kids’ Snack Club combines themed stories and snacks to educate children. Children will learn about space and make an edible moon rocks themed snack. Kids’ Snack Club meets at 3:30 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room, for children, ages 5-18; children under 8 with a caregiver.
June 13: Preschool Pals Playgroup meets at 10:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room. For children, ages 2-6 years, and their caregivers.
June 13: See rocks from outer space! Moon rocks on loan from NASA will be viewable from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room. For teens, ages 12-18.
June 14: The Page Turner’s Book Club will discuss The First Phone Call From Heaven, by Mitch Albom, and will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room.
June 14: Tween Gaming is a chance for children ages 8-11 to game together in the Children’s Program Room from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
June 15: Adults, 60 and older, are invited to Coffee Time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea with snacks, games, and good conversation. This program is held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room.
June 16: Come build marvelous creations with Legos® at the Builder’s Club. We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room. For children, ages 5-11, children under 8 with a caregiver.
June 16: See rocks from outer space! Moon rocks on loan from NASA will be viewable from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room. All ages welcome.
