OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois has announced it is expanding pediatric specialty services in Champaign-Urbana. A new multi-specialty clinic is opening in the OSF Heart of Mary Medical Office Building at 1405 West Park Street in Urbana, suite 306.
The OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital Specialty Clinic in Urbana has eight exam rooms. They currently offer pediatric cardiology and pediatric surgery care, with hematology/oncology services starting in July.
‘’The addition of OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center to the OSF family earlier this year gave us the opportunity to bring even more specialty services closer to Illinois families,’’ said Dr. Divya Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Children’s Hospital.
From June of 2017 to May of this year, OSF Children’s Hospital in Peoria provided care to 835 patients from the Champaign-Urbana-Danville areas. A total of 243 of those children were admitted. And nearly 1,500 children from the area received care in an outpatient clinic setting.
‘’The availability of these clinics and access to this level of care is vitally important for families in the communities we serve in east-central Illinois, said Dr. Jared Rogers. Rogers is the Regional President of OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.
