The Vermilion County States’s Attorney’s Office has issued an arrest warrant charging a young Danville man with murder in a double homicide which occurred early Saturday.
‘’The warrant, with a $5-million dollar bond, was issued for Deontae N. Bright, 18, of Danville,’’ according to Danville Public Safety Director Larry Thomason. ‘’Bright (shown here) is not in custody at the time of this release and his whereabouts are being sought,’’ added Thomason.
Thomason told VermilionCountyFirst.com News that Danville Police were called to the area of the Untouchables Motorcycle Club at 106 Commercial Street at about 2:00 a.m. Saturday on reports of shots being fired. ‘’Officers arriving found three male victims believed to have been shot,’’ said Thomason. ‘’The individuals were found outside on the grounds of the club and medical transport was called for. Two of the victims were later pronounced deceased and the third was being treated for non-live threatening injuries.’’
According to Director Thomason the two who died are a 17-year-old and 23-year-old. The one who was wounded and was treated for non-life threatening injuries is 36. All are from Danville. No names have been released yet (as of early Saturday afternoon).

It was the second fatal shooting incident in Danville in less than a week. On Tuesday morning a man was fatally shot by two Danville Police officers (see other stories on this site – VermilionCountyFirst.com – regarding that incident.)
