‘’I have extraordinary confidence in Chairman Marron and it is with tremendous enthusiasm that I pass the baton to Mike as the next State Representative for the 104th District,’’ said Representative Chad Hays.
‘’Mike Marron is our party’s candidate in the 104th Legislative District in November, and has my complete support to fill out the remainder of Representative Hays’ term,’’ said Champaign County GOP Chair Mark Ballard. He says Marron has an impressive record of leadership and action as Vermilion County Board Chair. ‘’He embraces difficult decisions, and has the intellect and tenacity to represent our area with distinction,’’ said Ballard.
Marron says he is ‘’honored and humbled to be selected to fill out the remainder of this term, and will work tirelessly to uphold the tradition of excellence that has embodied this House seat from Babe Woodyard, to Bill Black, to Chad Hays.’’ Marron added, ‘’It is a rare and special privilege to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to being a strong voice on behalf of the citizenry of east central Illinois.’’
Marron will be sworn in as State Representative on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rita B. Garman Vermilion County Courthouse in Danville.
Hays is leaving the Illinois House before his term ends in order to take a new position as Executive Director of Crosspoint Human Services.
