Danville Police have arrested two suspects in connection with recent armed robberies at some local businesses. Police Commander Josh Webb says 26-year-old Quintan J. Morton was arrested on charges he pulled a July 9th armed robbery at a Circle K gas station in the 2600 block of North Vermilion and a July 12th armed robbery of Family Video in the 2600 block of North Vermilion street. And 18-year-old Deontre Davis of Danville is also being held in the Circle K robbery.
Police are yet to determine who the second suspect was in the July 12th armed robbery of Family Video.
Commander Webb says during the investigation detectives were able to determine one of the suspects was the same person in both robberies. That suspect was later identified as Quintan Morton (shown on right in photos). On Thursday Danville Detectives located Morton in the area of Jackson and Center Streets and took him into custody. Davis was also taken into custody in the 100 block of Center Street.
Both men are currently being held at the Public Safety Building on charges of armed robbery.
Police say the investigation is on-going and they are seeking help from the public.
