One of the nation’s top scientists is spending time this week with some Danville High School students. Dr. Rick Kittles of Los Angeles is a cancer researcher, scientist and developed his own company on African American ancestry.
Dr. Kittles addressed about 30 students at DHS Tuesday (July 24, 2018), encouraging them to go into careers based around science and technology….

Dr. Kittles is a biologist specializing in human genetics. He became a close friend of Danville School Superintendent Alicia Geddis when they attended Howard University of Washington, D.C.
Another friend of Superintendent Geddis, Dr. La Tanya Sharpe is also taking time to be with some Danville High School students this week. She is Senior Director of AP Stem Curriculum with The Conference Board.
