A 38-year-old Danville man is facing multiple charges after police say his vehicle hit three others early Sunday (August 5, 2018). Police reports say two of the vehicles struck by the one being operated by 38-year-old Aaron Anglin of the 500 block of Jewel Street are Danville Police squad cars. The officers, however, were out of the vehicles at the time and were not hurt.
The third vehicle struck by Anglin’s unit is a Jeep that was being operated by 37-year-old Anthony Gouard of the 900 block of Knollcrest. He escaped unhurt as did Anglin. But Anglin is facing multiple charges – including driving under the influence and driving while his license is suspended. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The crash occurred at 2:20 this (Sunday) morning at Walnut and Madison Streets in Danville. Three Danville Police officers say they witnessed the crash, but were out on foot at the time.
