Wednesday night around 11:49 pm Danville Police responded to the McDonald’s Restaurant in the 100 block of N. Bowman Ave in reference to an armed robbery complaint.
Upon arrival officers spoke with an employee and several witnesses who stated a man had entered the restaurant and approached the counter where he demanded the employee give him the money from the register. The employee stated the man had something shiny in his hand that he was pointing at her. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the business on foot. While conducting the follow-up investigation an area resident called 911 and advised they had seen a male subject running from the area and hiding when he sees the police. Due to the witness description as well as the cooperation of the area resident, Danville Police located the suspect in the area of Bowman Ave and Harvey St. During a search of the suspect he was in possession of an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a silver colored knife. The suspect was then identified as 26 year old Cameron C. Creamer of Danville. Creamer was transported to the Danville Public Safety building where he is currently being held on charges of armed robbery and resisting/obstructing justice.
