Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer says he feels honored to be among three finalists for the next village administrator in Rantoul….
Eisenhauer spent the day in Rantoul today (Tuesday) going through the interview process with Rantoul Village Board members. The Board is searching for a replacement for its current village administrator, Rick Snider, who leaves next month.
The other two finalists to replace Snider are David Nord, a private consultant who previously served as administrator and manager in Dixon, and Jeffrey Eder, current city manager of East Peoria.
Eisenhauer has been Danville’s mayor for over fifteen years. He says he decided to explore other possible jobs in light of the proposal on the ballot this fall to change Danville’s form of government. And Eisenhauer added there have been other job opportunities…
When asked whether it would be tough for him to leave Danville if he gets the Rantoul job, Eisenhauer responded….
Eisenhauer had told VermilionCountyFirst.com News that he would announce later whether he would seek another term as mayor. But he has already indicated he would not be interested in being the part-time mayor of Danville if the government change is approved.
