Rocky Mountain National Park Rangers in Colorado are continuing their search for a Carle Clinic doctor who practices medicine in Danville. Jen ‘’Jay’’ Yambert is officially listed as being overdue from a hike he took near Longs Peak in the Fort Collins, Colorado area. In a news release the park said the last time he was seen by park visitors was Monday. It was raining mixed with sleet at the time, and strong winds were also reported along the trail at the time.
As rangers searched for Dr. Yambert the news release said they found a 23-year-old Houston, Texas woman who had also been reported overdue along one of the trails. The woman had suffered serious injuries in a fall and was air-lifted to a hospital in Denver for treatment.
Park officials are asking anyone who has been in contact with Dr. Yambert since he started his hike last Sunday afternoon to give them a call. The number is 970-586-1204.
