Some Covington Middle School students pitched in Monday to help complete some of the finishing touches at the new Covington Community Park. Amanda Strawser, President of the Covington City Park Board, says it has been a three year long project….
The park is going to be officially dedicated on October 16th in a ceremony beginning at 5:00 p.m. (Indiana time). Strawser says students who participated in a Pennies for the Park fund drive will get to try it out on October 15th during school hours.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources provided $200-thousand dollars toward the $750-thousand dollar project….
In the spring there were be another grand opening for a new Splash Pad which is yet to be completed.
