The Lorraine Theatre Guild in Hoopeston is going to be presenting ‘’Dracula’’ later this month. The shows will be presented using local talent at the historic Lorraine Theatre on Friday, October 26th, and Saturday, October 27th. The restored theatre is located at 324 East Main Street in Hoopeston.
‘’A major reason to attend is the amazing talent of the cast,’’ says Director Thomas Sweeney. He says the Lorraine Theatre Guild received special arrangements with Play Service, Inc. of New York in order to perform ‘’Dracula’’ at the Lorraine. ‘’Under the contract, we have agreed that no recording may be allowed, but in return we have an amazing play scrip. It has sold out nearly everywhere it has been presented,’’ added Sweeney.
Tickets are $12 each and are available at the Hoopeston Public Library, the Little Lorraine Theatre at 214 East Main Street in Hoopeston, and Hoopeston City Hall among other locations. They are also available online at www.thelorrainetheatre.com.
