There’s No Big Rush For Danville Election Packets

There’s No Big Rush For Danville Election Packets

The proposal to change Danville to a city manager form of government appears to have had little impact – so far – on getting more people interested in running for the city council.   A number of people have picked up election packets, however, in the Danville Election Commission office indicating they may run.

Those who have picked up election packets explaining what they need to do to run include:

— Stephanie Wilson – the current Danville City Treasurer

— Donald Crews – who says he intends to run for Mayor

—  Lloyd Randle  —  who has picked-up petition packets for both Mayor and Alderman from Ward 7.

—  Jon Cooper – who plans to run again as Ward 6 alderman.

—  Aaron Troglia  — who has a packet to run for Alderman in Ward 6.

— Thomas Pruitt – who plans to run for alderman from Ward 6.

—  Tom Stone – who is seeking re-election as Ward 5 alderman.

—   Sharon Pickering – who seeks to retain her seat as Ward 3 alderman.

—  Rick Strebing, who wants another term as Ward 2 alderman.

—  Jerry Hawker, who plans to run for Ward 2 alderman.

—  Jim Foley, who has picked up an election packet to run for Ward 1 alderman.

— Brenda Brown, who is currently Danville’s vice mayor and seeks another term as Ward 1 alderman.

Just because a person has picked up an election packet does not necessarily mean that they will run.
