A symposium being held in Danville Wednesday is focusing on stopping human trafficking. The Vermilion County Rape Crisis Center is hosting the event at the Second Church of Christ.

The forum is designed to improve the response to human trafficking victims. Law enforcement officers, victim advocates, service providers, educators, community leaders, and concerned citizens were invited to attend the program which runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Featured guest speakers include Joseph Murphy, Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI, Michael Mitchell, an Agent from the Department of Homeland Security, and Assistant Illinois Attorney General Cordelia Coppleson, among others.
