Students in a Future Problem Solvers class at Danville High School thanked Mayor Scott Eisenhauer Monday evening for his support. But the Mayor says they are the ones who deserve all the credit for some positive changes which have occurred.
‘’I have always admired these young men and women and the many projects they have accomplished in our community,’’ said the Mayor. He added it was fun to reflect back on those when the students honored him last night.
‘’These students have been very influential in our city and across the country and I greatly appreciate having been included as a partner in their success,’’ said Eisenhauer.
The students launched a campaign encouraging other young people to stay safe while driving. And Eisenhauer says if they had not been present and spoke out the night a vote was being taken on removing some local dams…he doubts that vote would have passed.
This is Eisenhauer’s last week as Danville’s mayor. He is leaving to become the new city administrator in Rantoul.
