O’Shaughnessy was commenting on a recent Newsmakers program on WDAN Radio. Another leader of the group pushing the change, Doug Ahrens, attempted to dispel concerns that Danville cannot afford a city manager….
If Danville voters approve the proposal to have a city manager, there would still be 14 aldermen elected from 7 wards. But the mayor’s job would become a part-time position next spring.
