Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer has been packing…getting ready to leave city hall after almost sixteen years….
And as his service as Danville Mayor comes to an end Monday, Mayor Eisenhauer says he realizes there are things he would like to have finished…
Mayor Eisenhauer has also worked 14 years trying to land a riverboat casino for Danville. He says hopefully the new administration of Acting Mayor Rickey Williams Junior will pick up those items and run with them.
Over the last three weeks Mayor Eisenhauer has been spending some time with the outgoing Rantoul Village Administrator…
Eisenhauer’s move from Danville is going to be felt immediately in the community. He says he will not emcee next week’s Veterans’ Concert at Danville High School as in past years. He also will not be reading stories to children this year at Danville’s Festival of Trees. Eisenhauer says he simply has to cut back on some of those things as he assumes his new role in Rantoul.
There is a public open house to honor Eisenhauer at the Turtle Run Banquet Center on East Liberty Lane next Thursday, November 8th, 2018. It runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. with a special program at 6:00 p.m.
