Fire Strikes Danville Home for Second Time

Fire Strikes Danville Home for Second Time

No injuries were reported last night (Sunday) as flames struck a vacant home in South Danville.  It marked the second time this year that fire has struck the two-story home at 205 East Third Street.

The cause of the fire is being listed as incendiary.  There were no utilities on at the home.   Danville firefighters were forced to battle the blaze from outside the structure because flames had already spread to the second floor before firefighters arrived.

The home is considered a total loss.   Danville firefighters were on the scene for two hours.  Another fire struck that same home last January.
