Vermilion County Farm Bureau is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and will be holding its Annual Meeting later this month.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at the Beef House Banquet Center in Covington, Indiana.
Doors open for registration starting at 6:00 p.m. (Illinois time). The Vermilion County Farm Bureau’s Silent Auction will be back this year, with proceeds supporting the Ag in the Classroom program. Various items and baskets will be offered during the auction.
The 100th Annual Farm Bureau meeting begins with a dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the business portion of the meeting. Farm Bureau will recognize the Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year, Farm Bureau Spokesperson of the Year, and will also present the Distinguished Service Award.
Illinois Farm Bureau Vice President Brian Duncan will be the keynote speaker. He is a farmer from Ogle County who is finishing his first year as vice president of Illinois Farm Bureau.
Tickets are still available for this event, but the deadline to purchase them is Tuesday, November 20th. Tickets are required and are available for $15 for farming ‘M’ members, $20 for A+ members and $25 for associate ‘A’ members. They can be purchased at the Vermilion County Farm Bureau office located in the Vermilion County Center for Agriculture at 1905 U.S. Route 150 at Henning Road, Danville.
