The Danville Public Library has a number of fun events scheduled this week for both children and adults. Here is the rundown on those events which are all open to the public.
November 20: Wee Wigglers story times contain songs, stories, and serious silliness for the youngest book-lovers. Offered on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room, for children from birth up to 24 months, with a caregiver.
November 20: Kids’ Snack Club combines themed stories and snacks to educate children. Children will learn about Thanksgiving and make a yummy Nutter Butter turkey snack. Kids’ Snack Club meets at 3:30 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room; for children, ages 5-18, children under 8 with a caregiver.
November 21: Preschool Pals Playgroup meets at 10:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room. For children, ages 2-6 years, and their caregivers.
November 21: Girls Who Code clubs are structured to teach basic elements in computer science to girls. For tween and teen girls, ages 12-18, 4:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room.
November 21: The library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, for Thanksgiving Day.
November 22: The library will be closed on Thursday, November 22, for Thanksgiving Day. The library will re-open on Friday, November 23, at 9:00 a.m.
November 23: Adults, 60 and older, are invited to Coffee Time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea with snacks, games, and good conversation. This program is held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room.
November 23: NaNoWriMo participants, Come Write In! Enjoy snacks and the company of other writers as you write toward your 50k words. Local author Brian K. Morris will be available for assistance. From 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room. For adults, ages 18 and older.
November 24: NaNoWriMo participants, Come Write In! Enjoy snacks and the company of other writers as you write toward your 50k words. Local author Kaighla Um Dayo will be available for assistance. From 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room. For adults, ages 18 and older.
