Danville Police Probe 2 Armed Robberies

Police in Danville are probing two weekend armed robberies.

The first occurred Saturday afternoon when a woman reports she was robbed after parking her car along Tillman Street near Main Street.  The woman told police a black male entered her vehicle and placed a knife to her throat and demanded money.  The woman received a small cut to her neck but it did not require medical attention.

The robber was described as being in his late 20’s or early 30’s and was wearing dark colored pants, a tan jacket and black hat.   He took the woman’s purse and fled on foot.

The other robbery occurred shortly after 12:30 Sunday morning (December 9, 2018) at the Circle K gas station at West Main and Gilbert Streets.  Police were told three black males entered the business and one pointed a handgun at an employee while the other two went behind the counter and demanded money from the register.   The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and some cigarettes before fleeing.

All three of the suspects in the Circle K robbery were wearing dark clothing with hoods pulled over their heads.  There were no injuries.
