A very special delivery rolled into Danville Thursday with an escort by police, firefighters and members of the Patriot Guard. Two semi tractor trailers hauling over 4,100 wreaths from the Wreaths Across America organization were escorted to the Danville National Cemetery.
Rick Boynton of Yoda, Minnesota was driving one of the trucks and explained why he donated his truck and time to haul the wreaths to Danville from Maine….
The other truck was being driven by Boynton’s 27-year-old son, Branden….

Local volunteers….many of them Veterans….showed up Thursday with pick-up trucks to help transport the wreaths to various sites around the cemetery.The wreaths will be placed on the graves of the Danville National Cemetery following a public ceremony that begins at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (December 15th). The Veterans Administration will be running a free shuttle bus service from parking lots near the cemetery to the ceremony.
