Danville Police are searching for three suspects in the armed robbery of a food delivery driver.  Police responded to the area of East Main and Cronkhite Streets shortly after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday on a report that a driver for the Green Jade restaurant had been robbed while making a delivery.

Police Commander Joshua Webb says the female victim reported she was making a delivery in the unit block of Cronkhite Street when she was approached by three black males.  One of the suspects displayed a gun, and then took food, an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s purse.  There were no injuries.  The victim said the suspects were all wearing black clothing and were last seen running eastbound from the scene.

The investigation into this robbery continues and anyone who has information that might help solve this crime is asked to call Danville Police (at 217-431-2250), or Vermilion County Crime Stoppers at (217) 446-TIPS.

This incident is the latest in a recent string of armed robberies or attempted robberies which have occurred in Danville.  Police have no suspects and are not sure whether any of the robberies were pulled by the same person or persons.
