Despite the warning that there would be more police patrolling the roads on New Year’s Eve, some motorists still ended up being arrested. But preliminary police reports indicated there was only one arrest for driving under the influence in Vermilion County.
Danville Police charged arrested one motorist for driving while their license was suspended, and another for having no valid driver’s license.
Tilton Police arrested a person for driving while suspended, and it was also Tilton Police who made the DUI arrest.
Ridge Farm Police arrested a person New Year’s Eve for driving while their license was suspended. And another person was arrested along route one in Rossville for having no valid driver’s license.
The report on motorists cited over the New Year’s holiday in Vermilion County does not include numbers from Illinois State Police.
