The Danville Salvation Army Christmas Campaign is still short of its $100-thousand dollar goal. But Lt. John Woodard of the Salvation Army says he remains optimistic.
Woodard says they are still in the process of finalizing the numbers, but already know the kettle campaign was short of goal. Lt. Woodard notes the Salvation Army also gets donations through the mail, online and from some other sources. And he adds the public’s support is greatly appreciated. The money goes to support the Salvation Army’s local needs throughout the year.
Again this year someone dropped a gold coin into one of the Salvation Army kettles in Danville.
