Woman in Danville ‘Suspicious Death’ Identified

Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden has released the identity of a woman who was found dead in a Danville motel Thursday.  She says the victim is 29-year-old Tara M. Jackson of St. Joseph, Illinois.   Police had said the woman’s death is ”suspicious”.

Danville Police and the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office are continuing their investigation into the death, and Coroner McFadden says they are now awaiting final autopsy results.

Police said late Friday that no new information is being released at this time as the investigation continues.  The woman was found at a Danville motel shortly before noon on Thursday (January 3, 2019).

Danville Public Safety Director Larry Thomason said Thursday that authorities do not have a definitive indication on what may have caused the death.  He added that will be determined by a pathologist.

Authorities have merely labeled it a ‘’suspicious death’’ and have not said whether they suspect foul play.
