Vermilion County Circuit Clerk Dennis ‘’Denny’ Gardner has let Republican party leaders know that he will not be seeking a fourth term. Gardner made the disclosure at a GOP meeting on Monday (January 7, 2019). He told VermilionCountyFirst.com News that he does plan to finish the two years remaining in his current term.
Gardner is placing his support behind Melissa ‘’Missy’’ Quick to be the next Circuit Clerk. Quick has been the Chief Deputy in the Circuit Clerk’s office for twenty years. Gardner says she has been ‘’the brains behind a new case-management system’’ that is currently being installed in the office.
Some people have called the Circuit Clerk’s office wondering what happened to the online access to court cases that was on the county’s website. Gardner says it was removed because of the new case management system that is being installed. He says it takes time to move information over to the new system.
Gardner says citizens can still access information by going to www.judici.com – but the system only contains information up to December 28th, 2018.
The new system will allow numerous county offices to easily share
Information, including the State’s Attorney, Probation, Circuit Clerk and others….including judges.
