Webb says the armed robbery occurred at the Casey’s General Store gas station located at Voorhees and Bowman Streets.  Employees told police that a man entered the business shortly after 9:30 p.m., pulled a handgun and demanded money.  The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled.

The robber was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue pants and a ski mask.  No one was hurt.

The attempted robbery occurred around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (January 8, 2019) in the area of the 700 block of Cleveland Street.  Police were told the victim was making a food delivery for a local business when he was approached by three black males.  One pulled a handgun and demanded money.  The victim tried to flee and heard a gunshot as a window shattered on his vehicle.  Although the shot did not strike the victim he suffered some lacerations to a hand.
