Preliminary damage estimates are being placed at $40-thousand dollars on a fire that struck a home along Daisy Lane, just outside Danville, Tuesday evening. Danville Firefighters received the alarm for the fire at 4 North Daisy Lane, but discovered the home was in the Lynch Fire Protection District. Danville Firefighters had the blaze under control when Lynch units arrived.
The fire is being blamed on a heating device that was placed inside a doghouse to keep a dog warm. The dog escaped the fire unhurt.
