Graduation Day is set Friday (April 19, 2019) for five Danville Firefighters. They have been undergoing training at the Illinois Fire Service Institute at the University of Illinois.
The five who are graduating are part of eight new Danville Firefighters who were hired earlier with the help of federal grant money. Three of the eight had already undergone training through the Fire Service Institute.
In addition to the training at the Academy in Champaign the firefighters have also undergone extensive training in Danville.
