The Vermilion County War Museum has announced plans for its Armed Forces Day celebration. The May 18th event will include reenactors from different eras, along with encampments and displays of military vehicles (weather permitting).
Reenactors from the Civil War to Vietnam will be on hand to talk to visitors. They will be displaying uniforms and other equipment. There will also be volunteers on hand to give tours of the War Museum.
The event will be free and open to the public…however a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $2 for students would be appreciated.
The Vermilion County War Museum is located at 307 North Vermilion Street in Danville. The museum is always seeking new members and volunteers. For more information about the event or about volunteering at the museum, stop by or call (217) 431-0034.
