A local group which places wreaths on the graves of Veterans at the Danville National Cemetery over Christmas is seeking some help. Tammy Williams, local coordinator for Wreaths Across America, says they are planning to hold their 3rd annual bucket drop on Saturday, July 6th, and need volunteers to man the buckets.
Last year Williams says the number of wreaths placed at the National VA Cemetery in Danville was down by about one-thousand from the previous year. She says they hope to get back to at least 5,900 wreaths this year.
If you or your group would like to help man the buckets when cash donations are accepted for the wreaths on July 6th, contact Williams at (217) 516-2354.
