Salt Fork Team Recognized for State Championship

Members of the Salt Fork Storm Class 1-A State Champion Boys Track & Field Team were honored today (Tuesday, June 11, 2019) by State Senator Scott Bennett.

Team members gathered in the County Board meeting room where Senator Bennett congratulated the participants and their coach for an incredible year.   ‘’Everyday in life is a competition, one way or the other,’’ the Senator told the students.  He also presented each student with a State of Illinois certificate congratulating them on their accomplishment.

Coach Phil Suprenant appreciates the recognition for his team…

Eighteen-year-old Caine Wilson was a senior this year at Salt Fork. He says members of the squad have rallied around the word ‘COWS’ for the past four years…
