There will be fun both in the air and on the ground at Friday and Saturday’s Balloons Over Vermilion. Jim Anderson, a member of the steering committee, says Kids Zone will be back….
”This year we’ve got a new piece called ‘touch a truck’, on Friday, and I think some of them are going to be staying on Saturday as well,” said Anderson on WDAN Radio’s News Makers program Wednesday. ”And it’s just an opportunity for kids and their parents to get a little bit closer look at some of those things that they pass too quickly on the road and say ‘boy I wonder how that thing works. I wonder what it does, I wonder what’s in the cab’…all those kinds of things. So that will be a lot of fun,” added Anderson.
And Anderson says the laser show will also be back….
”Those folks are coming back, and we’ve got them scheduled both nights after the glow. So not only do you want to see the launch, you want to see the glow, you want to see the laser show. So it’s a full evening of entertainment,” said Anderson.

You can park there and the buses will take you to the Vermilion Regional Airport and back when you want to return to your vehicle.
