The Indianapolis-based commercial real estate service that is marketing space at Danville’s Village Mall Shopping Center says it is encouraged. Cindy Hoskinson confirmed Danville Mayor Rickey William’s recent comment that they are close to a deal on getting a new restaurant for the space where Garfield’s was previously located at the mall. But Hoskinson added she cannot comment further on it yet.
Hoskinson told VermilionCountyFirst.com News that she and her partner are aggressively looking for new tenants for Danville’s Village Mall…both nationally and regionally. Hoskinson works for Lee and Associates, which also has an office in Chicago. The company got its listing agreement with the Village Mall a little over a month ago. Since then, Hoskinson says she and her partner have been meeting with several leaders and business owners in the area…including Vicki Haugen, President of Vermilion Advantage Development Corporation.
Hoskinson notes a lot of malls are looking at different uses, but she added there are stores at the Village Mall in Danville that are thriving. And as her company searches for new tenants for the mall, Hoskinson added, ‘’it’s encouraging.’’ She says the goal is to get the best fit for the Danville/Vermilion County market area.
