Georgetown Fair Getting Into Full Swing

Activities at the Georgetown Fair get into full swing Monday (August 5th) as carnival rides open with an armband night from 6:00 p.m. until close.  Besides the carnival, Monday is a busy day at the fair with the Queen Pageant and OYC (Outstanding Young Citizen) Presentation at 6:00 p.m.

Some other activities at the Georgetown Fair Monday include an Open and Junior Beef Show starting at 8:00 a.m., and the Section 18 FFA Show, also beginning at 8:00 a.m.   (The FFA Beef and Dairy Shows will begin at the conclusion of the Jr. Beef Show. The Junior Swine Show will begin at the conclusion of the FFA Swine Shows.)

The Commercial Buildings at the Georgetown Fairgrounds will be open from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m.  And there is an Open Steer Show starting at 6:00 p.m. Monday. And Celebrity Bingo begins at 7:00 p.m.

Activities at the Fair that were scheduled for Sunday, August 4th, included a Western Horse Show starting at 10:00 a.m., Open Market Hog Breed Gilt Show at 10:00 a.m., Open Market Hog Breed Barrow Show at 1:30 p.m., Open Breeding Sheep Show at 1:00 p.m., Gospel Sing from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Ice Cream Social at 4:00 p.m., and Community Church Service (in the Banquet and Conference Center) at 5:00 p.m.
