Representatives from over 55 four-year colleges, universities and technical schools are scheduled to participate this week when Danville Area Community College hosts its 40th Annual College Day.
The college and technical school representatives will be coming from 10 states for the program that runs from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19th in the Mary Miller Gymnasium.
DACC’s College Day gives current students, high school students, and the general public a chance to discuss transfer options, admission requirements, and other educational planning questions with representatives from some of the most popular and well-respected universities in the region.
Some of the university recruiters are planning to be at Danville Area Community College for Thursday’s event include:
- University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Chicago and Springfield;
- Augustana College;
- Ball State University;
- Blackburn College;
- Eastern Illinois University;
- Illinois State University;
- Indiana State University;
- Millikin University;
- Olivet Nazarene University;
- Purdue University;
- Southern Illinois University at both Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses;
- Wabash College;
And many more which are not listed above. Thirty-three Illinois Regional College Fairs are being sponsored around the state by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling.
