Aqua Illinois has announced the appointment of Bob Ervin as operations director. Ervin has served as interim operations director for the past two months. As operations director, Ervin will oversee operations for Aqua’s water and wastewater service areas, statewide.
Ervin has more than 20 years of experience in the utility industry, and has served as area manager in the Danville region for the last eight years. As area manager, Ervin oversaw several infrastructure improvement projects in Danville and Vermilion counties, including the North Vermilion Street water main lining, the Hillery water line replacement, water line improvements around the Fairchild Street overpass, and the current Lake Vermilion dam gate replacement project. During this time, Ervin built strong, positive relationships with customers, government and public officials, and regulators.
“At Aqua, water quality and service are our highest priorities. Bob’s customer-focused attitude and ability to build strong community relationships to help ensure high quality, reliable service make him the perfect fit for this role,” said Craig Blanchette, Aqua Illinois president.
