The OSF HealthCare Foundation says it will host ‘It’s All In The Jeans Day’ on Friday, October 4th. The Foundation is encouraging area schools, businesses and civic organizations to get involved to support local services helping those with cancer.
For a $5 donation to the OSF HealthCare Foundation area residents can wear denim to work or school that day. Through a special business match program, each $5 donation has the potential of being tripled. If a business matches the employee’s donation, special business partners will ‘’match the match’’ – essentially tripling the original $5 donation.
Commemorative Jeans Day t-shirts are also available for purchase at the Foundation office located on the ground floor of OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. It is located at 812 North Logan Avenue.
All proceeds remain in the Danville community to benefit cancer prevention, detection, and treatment programs. Financial assistance for preventive breast exams and providing durable medical equipment for cancer patients are among services provided with money from this special event. Funding is also used to enhance services at the Bobette Steely Hegeler Cancer Care Center at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center.
It’s All In The Jeans Day has raised more than $600-thousand dollars in the local fight against breast cancer and helped the medical center purchase new 3D mammography equipment.
