Neuhoff Media Danville’s three radio stations, and VermilionCountyFirst.com, are joining the efforts of Operation Honor Guard. On Wednesday, October 2nd (2019) Neuhoff Media staff will be at the Hall of Fame Plaques and Sign Shop at 3550 North Vermilion in Danville to help raise funds for Operation Honor Guard. Neuhoff staff members will be there from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and the three radio stations will promote the Day of Giving throughout the day.
Listeners will also be able to make donations by clicking on the Operation Honor Guard logo on VermilionCountyFirst.com that day.
The money goes to support Veteran Honor Guards as they perform military rites at veteran’s funerals. American Legion posts that perform the services have a variety of costs – including flags, uniforms, transportation, guns and ammunition. Donations will be given to participating veteran honor guards.
Michelle Campbell, General Manager of Neuhoff Media Danville, says Skeff Distributing is assisting the radio stations in the Day of Giving. Neuhoff’s three radio stations are WDNL 102.1 fm…. WDAN 1490 am radio….and WRHK – 94.9 fm K-Rock.
‘’Veterans are such a big part of our community since we have a VA Medical Center here,’’ said Campbell. ‘’They serve our country, and are continuing to serve,’’ said Campbell speaking of those who perform the final rites for veterans. ‘’They volunteer for this, and we want to help them,’’ added Campbell.
