Danville Area Community College Trustees have approved the purchase of the former U.S. Army Reserve building next door to the campus. The trustees met in a special session Friday morning (October 11, 2019) and agreed to the purchase of the building for $150,000.
The building has been vacant for some time, but the college plans to renovate it and turn it into a casino career center. Current plans call for holding classes there to train employees for the proposed Danville Casino Resort in areas that include security, machine repair and customer service.
