A drive aimed at bringing awareness to domestic violence in Vermilion County is being called a success. Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy’s Office teamed with Witzel Enterprises during the month of October to collect supplies needed at local domestic violence shelters.
Lacy says they want to thank the anonymous donors who contributed cleaning products, towels, diapers, personal care products, and various other items through a supply drive hosted by the Vermilion County McDonald’s Restaurants. This year’s contributions were more than double the amount collected last year. They were presented to the Crosspoint at the Y Domestic Violence and Transitional Shelter this week.
