The Danville Public Library is set to re-open Tuesday, December 3rd after being closed on Monday. Here is a run-down of activities that will be taking place at the Library this week:
December 2: The library will be closed on Monday, December 2, for Staff Development. The library will re-open on Tuesday, December 3 at 9:00 a.m.
December 3: Wee Wigglers story times contain songs, stories, and serious silliness for the youngest book-lovers. Offered on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Program Room, for children from birth up to 24 months, with a caregiver.
December 3: Kids’ Snack Club combines themed stories and snacks to educate children. This week, make crunchy elf hats! Kids’ Snack Club meets at 3:30 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room, for children, ages 5-18; children under 8 with a caregiver.
December 4: Preschool Pals Playgroup meets at 10:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room. For children, ages 2-6 years, and their caregivers.
December 4: Teens, meet for a Sweet Escape – complete a fun writing activity and make festive cake pops– in the first floor meeting room at 5:00 p.m. For teens, ages 12-18 years old.
December 4: Tween Gaming is a chance for children, ages 8-11, to game together in the Children’s Program Room from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
December 5: Teens, learn the basics about 3D printing. Create, print, and take home your own design. Space is limited! Registration is required. You can register by phone (477-5220) or by visiting the Teen Zone. For teens, ages 12 – 18.
December 5: Teens, discover your crafty side with art projects every Thursday! 5:00 p.m. in the Makerspace. For teens, ages 12 – 18.
December 6: Adults, 60 and older, are invited to Coffee Time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea with snacks, games, and good conversation. This program is held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the first floor meeting room.
