Hundreds of children in the Westville Unit Two School District will have a nice Christmas thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers. The Santas Anonymous Program delivered toys and other items to the homes of those in need. Santa actually delivers the items to the homes of the recipients.
Dozens of volunteers pitch in to collect and sort the toys, coats, gloves and other items. It is an annual tradition in the Westville School District that has been taking place every year since 1976. The school district helps Santas Anonymous determine which families can use a little help with the holidays.
So if you spotted Santa making some early deliveries Sunday…you weren’t seeing things.
Santa really was making some rounds a little early.
