A Danville man who pleaded guilty to burglarizing a home last fall has been given a 10 year prison sentence. Circuit Judge Thomas O’Shaughnessy handed down the sentence on 31-year-old John Reeves III on Thursday (January 2, 2020). The judge also ordered Reeves to serve three years mandatory supervised release once he gets out of prison.
Reeves and a co-defendant, 25-year-old Davion Crockett, were arrested by Danville Police after a neighbor phoned 9-1-1 and reported the daylight burglary in progress according to Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy.
Crockett has pleaded not guilty and his next court appearance is scheduled in March.
