Danville Police are investigating a Sunday night (January 19, 2020) home invasion in which a shooting is reported. Police Chief Christopher Yates confirmed to VermilionCountyFirst.com News today that there was a home invasion in the 1000 block of Franklin Street. He says there were no injuries to occupants of the home. But Yates added other details will be released later.
It was neighbors who reported there had been a shooting there. Danville Police were called to the home at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. There were a large number of officers on the scene Sunday night.
Chief Yates says officers are continuing to investigate the incident, but he did not elaborate.
